Nutrition is essential for growth and development, physical health, and emotional well-being. Behaviors to promote health should start early in life and continue through old age, with the development of healthy eating habits being of paramount importance.

Over the course of the last century, scientific breakthroughs have confirmed that dietary factors contribute substantially to the onset of preventable illness and premature death. However, as society has moved into the "Information Age," the proliferation of diet fads, food industry sales jargon, and dubious nutritional theories has left the general public confused, overwhelmed, and unable to optimize personal dietary habits.

Due to the growing demand for well-qualified dietary professionals, AIES offers two comprehensive academic programs in Nutrition that will equip graduates with the knowledge needed to provide expert dietary advice for clients and patients.

Upon program completion, graduates will be certified Nutritional experts and can seek employment in various sectors including, but not limited to:  health care, athletic training and nutrition, and dietary coaching.

Objectives

  • To enable graduates to provide clear, concise, "no-nonsense" nutritional advice that will benefit clientele, patients, and the general public.
